- Grow your knowledge of air handling products and their integration into the overall HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system
- Serve as a trusted partner with Trane account managers via the Zendesk platform. These interactions include:
- Technical Airside equipment understanding and systems application
- Customer specification and bill of materials review
- Non-selectable and design special options. Submittal drawings associated with design specials
- Actively engage in customer visit process at Columbia facility visits including:
- Co-hosting and participating in onsite customer visits
- Leading event organization in partnership with product support team members and account manager(s)
- Standardizing and improving the overall customer visit experience
- Support testing and improvement of our equipment selection system, Trane Select Assist.
- Provide voice of customer to our Product Management team, based on sales field interactions, to inform Airside portfolio strategies (including new product development (NPD) and margin improvement projects).
- Gain understanding of Lean thinking to support team continuous improvement journey. This includes participation in Managing for Weekly Improvement (MWIs) performance reviews and strategic projects linked to Channel Support roadmap.
- Learn about our product management strategies and operational frameworks establishing a strong foundation for career growth into diverse areas including product management, operations, or engineering.
- Full time college student with status as a junior or senior. Studies pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
- Have interest in sales, product management, product engineering, or manufacturing operations
- Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and application of technical concepts.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Group presentation or public speaking experiences are a plus.
- Tactful and collaborative leadership skills to effectively interact with our sales teams (account managers, sales assistants, customers) and with fellow product support team members
- Solid organization skills and flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and projects.
- Effective decision-maker in time sensitive situations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint strongly preferred
