Lab Assistants will operate in high-volume, production-based environments, playing a crucial role in clinical lab science.Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent.- Previous medical/lab or production experience preferred.- Comfortability with handling biological specimens.- Accurate identification of specimens.- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.- Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting and meet deadlines.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.- Successful completion of a standardized color blindness test.- Flexibility to work overtime as required.Position Summary: Responsible for specimen management tasks, including receiving, loading/unloading automation, and storage.Essential Job Duties:- Assist in loading/unloading specimens on Hamilton pipetting instruments.- Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.- Sort specimens for manual pipetting.- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.- Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information.- Ensure proper functioning of lab equipment and perform minor maintenance.- Troubleshoot specimen-related issues.- Replenish test bench supplies.- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.- Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety regulations.- Document quality assurance activities for regulatory compliance.- Perform other duties as assigned by department management.Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
