Tribal Member Services AssistantDepartment: Tribal ProgramsEmployment Status: Full TimeProgram: Tribal Member ServicesFLSA Status: Non-ExemptReports To: Tribal Member Services SupervisorSchedule: 40 Hours/52 WeeksPreference: TERO Ordinance 2017-01, P.L. 93-638Job SummaryThe Tribal Member Services Assistant is responsible for assisting with administrative tasks assigned by the Tribal Member Services Supervisor.Essential Functions
  • Responsible for assisting with Tribal Member Services committees, boards and commissions such as printing packets, ordering meals, conducting meeting notifications and setting up conference rooms
  • Responsible for inputting monthly purchase card statements and receipts for Tribal Member Services into Reqlogic
  • Responsible for ordering and keeping an up to date inventory of office supplies and assisting with mail outs
  • Provides support as requested during Tribal Council Quarterly Meetings and Annual General Membership Meetings
  • Responsible for the purchase of meal trays and flowers for Memorial services and may be required to deliver purchased items
  • Provides assistance with approved Tribal Member Enrichment requests including, but not limited to, purchasing of items, drafting of letters, scanning and electronically filing signed letters, and mail out of letters
  • Supports Enrollment with filling of non-electronic documents, Tribal ID Cards, One Tribe, Certificates of Eligibility and other tasks as needed

Experience
  • One year (1) of customer service experience
License/Certification
  • Must have a valid Alaska State driver's license and must remain insurable under the Tribe's policy
Preferred
  • Knowledge and experience working with cultural diversities
Special Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, or obtain training within 90 days of hire
  • Conducts business in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, respectful and kind when dealing with un'ina, visitors, co-workers and others
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
