Fred Smith Company is currently searching for experienced Grade Foreman for our Wilson location. With over 90 years of proven success, FSC is an established, and growing, heavy highway, site construction contractor and asphalt manufacturer with approximately 1,300 employees based in Raleigh, North Carolina and operating as far East as Kitty Hawk and as far West as Winston-Salem.Basic Duties:
Responsible for the safe and efficient management of the crew and equipment on all assigned projects.
Maintain all logs, daily reports and ensure that all time records are accurately entered each day.
Ensure that personnel and sub-contractors are complying with company safety policies and procedures.
Perform daily JSA meetings with the project teams and conduct weekly Toolbox Talks.
Assist and direct crews in the use of equipment and resources.
Manage quality of work, productivity and costs associated with the project.
Maintain good relations with the public, engineers, inspectors and the customer.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Foreman in heavy civil construction
Previous self-perform experience with grading and site work operations, water/sewer/storm drain construction, asphalt paving
Experience with plans and crew and equipment scheduling
Valid drivers license with positive driving history
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
