Pay Rate: $18.00-$25.00 per hour (based on proven work history)Summary of the Payroll Administrator:
To perform payroll functions for both salaried and hourly colleagues. Process all colleague financial related transactions. Ability to make decisions and solve problems. Prepare and maintain accurate records. Ability to maintain highest ethical standards in financial reporting.Job Responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator:
  • Manage workflow to ensure all transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Process payroll and maintain payroll as required
  • Data entry for all time and attendance and personnel transactions such as new hire, termination, leave of absence, benefit deductions, etc.
  • Process all time and verify billing for temporary colleagues
  • Process manual and void checks
  • Process correct garnishments and Friend of the Court calculations and compliance
  • First point of contact for colleagues for time and attendance and payroll issues
  • Prints and distributes paychecks, pay stubs, and other payroll related information
  • Complete all employment and wage verification requests
  • Update and reconcile monthly bank statements
  • Process accurate and timely, all monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting
  • Process all payroll tax deposits and direct deposit transmission
  • Reconciles monthly health and welfare benefit billing
  • Monthly reconciliation of advance, garnishment, and Friend of the Court accounts
  • Ensure appropriate deductions are collected from colleagues
  • Reconciliation of all benefit accounts and billing, including collection from colleagues
  • Manage all payroll tax payments and reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and year end
  • Create and maintain all computerized files for colleagues, including temporary personnel
  • Know and follow all IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 policies and procedures
Qualifications of the Payroll Administrator:
  • Have knowledge of wage withholding and garnishment policies of an organization
  • Strong attention to detail and good written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be strong with numbers and calculations
  • Proficient with MS Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Knowledge of AS400 database a plus
  • Payroll experience of 3-5 years with an Associate's degree or equivalent training required
  • CPP designation preferred
