Position Type: 1 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need

Shift: 2nd shift – M-F 2PM-10PM

Compensation: $27/HRPosition Summary
The Quality Control Technician will perform laboratory testing of bulk and finished products under minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with company procedures and customer expectations. This role involves laboratory testing, data analysis and reporting, supporting engineering changes, and assisting with internal and external audits.Key Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final product testing
- Conduct first article inspections as required
- Perform laboratory tests including hardness, tensile/compression, thermal conductivity, viscosity, density, and other specialized testing
- Release incoming raw materials and finished products
- Communicate with internal teams regarding quality issues and nonconformances
- Collect, record, and report KPI and SPC data
- Maintain accurate test records and databases to ensure compliance with customer requirements
- Support Process and Quality Engineers with corrective actions
- Conduct training and mentoring of production personnel as needed
- Participate in MSA activities
- Test pilot and scale-up material batches
- Assist with day-to-day quality department activities
- Experience with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems preferred
- Laboratory testing background in Quality Control or Analytical environments
- Knowledge of MSA, GR&R, or similar validation methods
- Ability to manage rejected materials and MRB activities
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Solid data collection, reporting, and analytical abilities with attention to detail
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience with SPC programs preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs occasionally
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
- Minimum 4 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment
