This is an unique newly created opportunity where the NP or PA to support cutting edge research that bridges science, clinical trials, and translation medicine in the fight against brain and spinal cord tumors.The NP or PA will work directly to support the clinical research provider team. 8am- 5pm no weekends.Seeking a highly motivated and detailed-orientated APP dedicated to advancing research in the central nervous system (CNS) malignancies.The position includes direct patient care durring treatment and follow-up serveillance and supports provider team in clinic as needed. * The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
  • The NP or PA will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families.
  • Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care.
  • Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.
  • Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing OR Bachelor's Degree or Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program. Cancer experience required.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner and current State license as a Registered Nurse OR Requires Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National. Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).Current BLS.Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.Additional Information
