Responsibilities
Coordinate the Intake of all new patient callers to the practice
Answer the Intake phone line: assessing needs of the patient and/or family member; inform them of the various disciplines (psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists) and types of treatment available.
Collect and verify patient’s information and assist in benefit verification. Address billing questions from new patients.
Schedule and coordinate new patient appointments for providers according to their specialty and schedule preferences.
Collaborate with providers and management to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Administrative Support
Maintain provider schedules in scheduling software and communication appropriately with providers.
Coordinate and bill for psychological testing services.
Qualifications
Knowledge of Windows applications for computers
Understand and comply with HIPAA regulations
Ability to work with patients of all ages with mental health needs
Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology
Working knowledge of health insurance
Education:
High School diploma or GED
Some college preferred
Experience:
2 years of clerical experience in a healthcare setting, required.
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.35-24.52/hour with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
