IOT will also act as the technology and solution enabler for the State, helping its partner agencies achieve business objectives and innovation.Role Overview:The PeopleSoft Financial Analyst supports agency business owners with module updates and business process changes. You will be a subject matter expert for the financial and accounting business processes pertaining to business areas such as Procurement, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Supplier Contracts and Travel and Expense.You must be able to provide lifecycle support of PeopleSoft modules, troubleshoot and support PeopleSoft to resolve end user problems and questions, and provide direction and decisions about configurations, customizations, and changes to PeopleSoft modules as appropriate.This role may require after-hours time for on-call support, as well as software testing for upgrades.Salary:This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $61,002 but may be commensurate with education and job experience.Use our to view the total compensation package.A Day in the Life:The essential functions of this role are:
  • Conduct thorough research, fact-finding, and analysis of user needs and problems required to develop and maintain information systems of moderate complexity.
  • Assist in analyzing business processes and workflows to determine how applications can be optimized to meet organizational goals.
  • Prepare project feasibility studies.
  • Prepare user requirements, functional design, physical design, and other relevant system design components.
  • Formulate system scope, project cost, time estimates, and human resource and equipment requirements for implementation of new application software or enhancements to existing application software systems.
  • Assist in coordinating tasks, managing timelines and ensuring project deliverables are met.
  • Provide technical support for application systems, including diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Designs, codes, and debugs new application software programs and/or makes enhancements to existing application software programs of all levels.
  • Test and troubleshoot system interfaces to ensure smooth data flow between applications.
  • Provide complete documentation for new or modified information systems and/or application software programs.
  • Mentor and provides guidance and training to new and lower level staff.
  • Monitor completed application software systems to ensure proper execution and performance.

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of new systems design techniques, information technology equipment, operation and capabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of information systems design principles.
  • Specialized knowledge of application development software languages.
  • Thorough knowledge of policies, standards, procedures, and techniques used for application development.
  • Familiarity
  • Advanced knowledge of information technology equipment, operation, and capabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of both system and business applications and competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities of those systems.
  • Ability to perform problem solving and analytical analysis.
  • Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
