Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to un-served and under-served communities around the world.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience with CAD Design of complex systems including 3D modeling, drawings, and GD&T
- 1+ years of experience of structural analysis including hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis
- 1+ years of experience with project management, schedule, and budgetingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
- Strong background in the design of mechanism, bolted and welded structures, assembly fixtures, alignment fixtures, test fixtures, rigging, and material handling
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Design analysis experience with stiffness/strength, structural dynamics, weldments, and bolted structures.
- Experience designing tooling for aerospace hardware
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in assembly tooling
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking in complex situations
- Experience with NX 3D modeling package and Simcenter 3D FEA simulation.
- Formal training/certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 55, Six Sigma, etc.) a plus

The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
