- Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for children between 12-24 months of age
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
- Track children's progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche.
- Collaborate with other educators.
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
- Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
- Child development courses through an accredited college and/or EQIT/Pyramid Plus courses are a plus!
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as a mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
- Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
- All Employees will accrue Personal Time (PTO) for every 40 hours worked. All new employees will start accruing PTO immediately and will be available for use after a 60-day probationary period. PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
- Sick Pay has a maximum of 48 hours, which will be applied to each employee's policy and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
- Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and will be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.
