- Design, analyze (including thermal considerations), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry potentially utilizing any standard non-isolated power conversion topologies (buck, boost, buck-boost) including modules and discrete designs
- Guide Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation
- Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule
- Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff
- Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience in low-level electronics components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and/or transistors, etc and the ability to design with them
- Experience with any of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
- Experience with design, analysis, and test with analog electronic design and analysis, including FET, BJT, and/or Op-amp circuits
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
- Lab experience specific to power electronics and/or controls electronics
- Demonstrated use of software tools for electrical circuit simulation and/or printed circuit board layout
- Understanding of fundamental power conversion concepts, components, and techniques
- Basic understanding of commonly used power converter and/or motor drive control schemes
- Familiarity with circuit simulators such as SIMPLIS, Saber and/or analysis tool Mathcad.
