Edoxx Technical Services LLC is a US Company based in Houston, Texas, with access to +350 highly experienced and advanced Engineers and Technicians delivering know-how and expertise in Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation engineering.Our client is looking for a Compressor Engineer to work on-site at their Monrovia, CA office.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • With-in the Rotating engineering group, provides technical leadership by for execution activities and discipline deliverables for projects, participates in project execution strategy and planning activities.
  • Knows the project goals and has ownership of the discipline scope/cost/time requirements.
  • Ensures the team meets expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success.
  • Performs administrative functions including implementation of management policies and procedures, implements the Company and Customers Procedures while seeking improvements to work processes and business approaches to better serve the project needs.
  • May be required to perform the following studies: Driver Selection (Gas/Electric/Steam), VFD motor Drives, Variable speed gears, bearing selections for compressors/motors. Must have experience with Reciprocating and Centrifugal compressors, Lube and Seal Oil systems, Gear box and Mechanical Seal diagnostics.
  • Should have sufficient experience in the Industry to be able to generate manpower requirements for differing scopes of work as activities are changed during the course of a project.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of API, ANSI, NEMA, ASTM specifications.
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Typically, minimum of 10 years working with various Compressors and 4 years pump Engineering experience in Petroleum-Chemical, Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Emphasis on Centrifugal and Reciprocating compressor experience, with working knowledge of API 613, 614, 616, 617, 618, 670 and 671.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experienced in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work.
  • May be required to travel to the Vendors facilities.
  • PE registration is desired.
  • Aramco experience is preferred.
