- Planning: Think strategically to develop multi-year Roadmaps. Follow/develop trend analysis on resource utilization to predict resource needs.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a mid-sized team of geographically disbursed IaaS administrators, provide technical guidance, foster professional growth, and cultivate collaboration.
- Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain an understanding of the tools and technologies utilized by the team.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify compute/storage needs of the future and communicate changes to the service offerings.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage resource allocation, budget planning, and analyze utilization trends for resource forecasting.
- Customer Service: Having a customer service focus is a MUST for both internal and external entities.
- Agility: Work within a Scaled Agile Framework and participate in Agile Team events, including planning and delegating duties as required.
- Risk Management: Adhere to company policies and processes including change control, security, corporate policies, ITIL, and Sarbanes Oxley 404.
- Vendor Relationships: Establish, maintain, and gauge relationships with the vendors for the hardware/software used by the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline and 5+ years of prior systems administration experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams/projects.
- Solid knowledge and experience working with IT systems and have an in-depth knowledge of IT systems engineering process and practices, including proven experience in developing and managing infrastructure-as-a-service solutions.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels of staff and management.
- Ability to estimate the level of effort for initiatives.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, develop relationships, and obtain consensus among interested parties.
- Ability to develop peer networks across an enterprise to maintain technology awareness and to support the resolution of problems.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.
- Worked in an ITIL environment.
- Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead architectural design discussions and carry those designs through deployment and into operations.
- Experience with SAFe or other Agile Methodologies for planning/documenting work.
- Experience with Splunk or other reporting tools.
