
Applications Engineer 2 - complex projects (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Biological, or Chemical Engineering)

- Review and or create specifications from contractors and engineers; develop equipment specifications for customers and fabricators
- Prepare, maintain, and review documentation, including technical drawings and P&IDs
- Organize, prepare, and review complex proposals
- Prepare cost estimates
- Perform and interpret basic project-related calculations; respond to technical clarifications from customers
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager and Sales Agent to develop sales strategies
- Conduct technical sales presentations with customers
- Work with various vendors and interdepartmental applications engineers
- Communicate project scope and details to Project Managers and Designers
- Conduct Peer review of bids
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Biological, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience: Generally, 1-2+ years of related experience
- Willingness to travel (~25%)
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of chemistry and physics
- Proficient in computer applications and time management
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to follow through and work well in a team
- Prior sales experience preferred
- Master’s degree in Engineering
- Ability to perform computer-based work for extended periods
- Some lifting may be involved (up to 50 lbs.)
- May be required to be clean-shaven for proper fitting of respiratory equipment.
