DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a cleared Technical Writer to join our dynamic team in Annapolis Junction. This crucial role is responsible for researching, organizing, writing, editing, and producing data and artifacts for use in a wide variety of complex technical publications for mission products.Location: Annapolis Junction

- Assist with the preparation and upkeep of operational documents, user guides, manuals, and technical publications.
- Utilize understanding of basic concepts, including grammar, to draft technical content for various documentation.
- Compile and synthesize technical data for written communication.
- Manage and update an internal documentation repository.
- Employ a variety of software tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio for document creation and presentations.
- Develop high-quality documentation and training materials in collaboration with developers.
- Engage in all documentation development stages.
- Craft technical narratives for diverse document types in projects of comparable complexity.
- Generate reports, responses, and briefings for a broad audience spectrum.
- Oversee the layout and design of documentation.
- Conduct research on complex technical topics to compile, organize, and present information from multiple sources in an accessible manner.
- Write technical content under general guidance for various document types in projects of similar scope.
- Implement technical writing principles based on engineering schematics, engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and experts, and other resources.
- Create documentation for defense acquisitions, user and training manuals, and other materials for DoD electronic equipment and system users.
- Decode engineering and maintenance schematics and operational guidelines to integrate vast amounts of computer-related data.
- Produce technical documentation for Cryptologic programs or projects focused on analytic tradecraft methodology development.
- Apply NSA DS-89 technical manual standards to documentation efforts.
- Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and a Full Scope Polygraph
- A minimum of six (6) years of experience in technical writing within programs and contracts of comparable scope, type, and complexity.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited institution.
- An additional four (4) years of technical writing experience can be considered as a substitute for the Bachelor’s degree requirement.
