We are currently hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for a 3-month temporary assignment. As a CNA in our pediatric unit, youll play an essential role in delivering hands-on care and emotional support to young patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct care, including bathing, toileting, feeding, and obtaining vital signs
- Acting as a safety companion for patients who require constant observation
- Supporting patient mobility and comfort throughout their stay
- Collaborating with nurses, physicians, and allied health staff to respond to changing patient needs
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive environment
- Participating in quality improvement efforts and team discussions
- Ensuring clear, respectful communication with patients, families, and colleagues
- Upholding professional and ethical standards in all aspects of care
- Taking initiative in personal growth and professional development
- Current NYS CNA Registration
- BLS Certification (or ability to recertify)
- CPR certification (or eligible for certification)
- Minimum 1 year of patient care experience required
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting is required
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must be reliable and willing to work every other weekend and some holidays
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, adaptability, and a strong sense of accountability
