Job Description:Responsible for performing technical responsibilities relative to assisting cardiothoracic surgeons with the instrumentation of Open-Heart surgery, as well as assisting in the preparation and management of tubing’s utilized by the heart-lung (pump) machine.
QualificationsEducation:
High School Graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of a surgical tech program that is accredited by a national accrediting organization or a successor organization or must have successfully completed a training program for surgical tech administered by the US Public Health Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard.Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years scrubbing experience in a major operating room, and at least one (1) year of experience as an Open-Heart Scrub Technician.License/Certification:
Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or must obtain within 6 months of hire. Current BLS certification.Other:
