Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.Responsibilities:The Housekeeper Floor Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Ability to buff, strip and wax floors.
  • Ability to clean and maintain floors throughout the facility.
  • Ability to dust, mop and clean items such as cabinets, furniture, mirrors, metal and equipment.
  • Ability to vacuum blinds, screens, and vents.
  • Ability to move furniture and other heavy objects.
  • Ability to sterilize rooms after isolation.
  • Replenishes cleaning supplies.
  • Maintains all floor care equipment for the Environmental Services Department.
  • Have working knowledge of electrical floor cleaning equipment and general housekeeping equipment.
  • Safely operates all Environmental Services Department equipment and follows all safety rules.
The Housekeeper Floor Technician will report to the Housekeeping Manager. Reports all safety and security issues to the manager. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Please consult the Physical Demands Project SharePoint site or contact Risk Management/Employee Health for additional information. Must be able to climb, kneel, stoop and perform assigned duties. Work also involves considerable walking, standing, pushing and pulling of equipment. Physical demands require performing heavy cleaning projects with short notice. Visual acuity is required in order to ensure that work is being done correctly. Work is moderately heavy with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. May have access to areas in which medications are stored in order to perform housekeeping and/or maintenance duties.All applicants will receive consideration regardless of membership in any protected status as defined by applicable state or federal law, including protected veteran or disability status.Qualifications:
  • Technical Training preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of simple reading, writing and communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).
  • Floor cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Previous experience keeping written records preferred.
