- Design, architect, and deploy secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions-primarily in Microsoft Azure-to support mission-critical government workloads.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud strategy, driving modernization initiatives and migrating legacy systems to hybrid and cloud-native platforms.
- Establish cloud architecture standards and best practices across compute, storage, networking, identity, and security within the Azure ecosystem.
- Oversee the deployment and integration of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services in alignment with government cybersecurity and operational compliance requirements.
- Partner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams to deliver secure, compliant cloud solutions that meet performance and availability objectives.
- Create and maintain cloud design documentation, implementation roadmaps, and system diagrams to support governance, audits, and change management processes.
- Research, assess, and recommend emerging cloud technologies to improve performance, automation, and cost efficiency of IT services.
- Lead cloud migration strategies, including rehosting, refactoring, and rearchitecting applications and infrastructure.
- Ensure cloud environments support high availability, disaster recovery, and backup solutions consistent with mission resiliency goals.
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support and perform root cause analysis for cloud-related incidents and performance issues.
- Maintain expertise in government cloud security standards and implement STIGs, FedRAMP controls, and Zero Trust principles.
- Advise program leadership on technical feasibility, risk management, and cost estimates for proposed cloud initiatives.
- Cloud Architecture & Design
- Design and deploy secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure.
- Establish and enforce standards, frameworks, and best practices across compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services.
- Strategy & Modernization
- Serve as the technical authority for cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
- Lead migration strategies including rehosting, refactoring, and rearchitecting existing applications and infrastructure.
- Deployment & Integration
- Implement SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions in compliance with government cybersecurity and operational policies.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies to align with mission resilience goals.
- Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams to deliver compliant and secure solutions.
- Provide Tier 3-level escalation support and conduct root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure incidents and performance issues.
- Governance & Documentation
- Develop and maintain cloud design documentation, implementation plans, and system diagrams.
- Support architecture governance, audits, and change control processes.
- Innovation & Advisory
- Research and recommend emerging cloud technologies to enhance automation, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Advise program leadership on technical feasibility, risk mitigation, and cost estimates for new initiatives.
- Security & Compliance
- Maintain expertise in government cloud security requirements to include Zero trust architecture, STIGs, and FedRAMP.
- 8 years' IT experience with at least 5 years' experience focused on cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and management
- 3 years' experience managing hybrid cloud environments, integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services
- 3 years' experience managing cloud infrastructure supporting 1,000+ users across multiple geographic locations
- 2 years' experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, or Terraform
- 2 years' experience with cloud migration projects to include virtual machine migration from on-premises to Azure, and technical expertise in Azure cloud services
- Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in computer science, information systems, information technology, Engineering or related technical field
- Active DOD SECRET CLEARANCE
