Explore life at Fortune BrandsJob DescriptionThe Master Data Management (MDM) Lead will be responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of enterprise master data management capabilities. This role blends deep technical MDM expertise with strong business partnership skills in a cross-functional, matrixed organization. The ideal candidate has proven success delivering enterprise-wide MDM initiatives within a robust data governance framework, aligning data architecture with business priorities, and fostering a culture of data ownership.Position location/hybrid- This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule. You can expect to work Tuesday - Thursday onsite at one of Deerfield, IL (while Monday and Friday are remote).Key RESPONSIBLIITIES:
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise MDM solutions, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, compliance, and performance standards.
Serve as Product Owner for the MDM platform, overseeing solution design, data models, workflows, integrations, and user experience.
Partner with business and IT stakeholders to identify data gaps, define a long-term MDM roadmap, and ensure integration with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, etc.).
Provide thought leadership on how master data supports business growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Mentor and guide data stewards to uphold governance, quality, compliance, and security for customer, vendor, and material master data domains.
Lead MDM-related data integration and migration strategies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and minimal disruption.
Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, data models, and documentation to support scalability and adaptability.
Champion MDM and data governance best practices, promoting accountability and adoption across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5-7 years' experience in MDM, data governance, or data architecture, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
5+ years' experience in data integration, data modeling, and enterprise solution design within an MDM framework.
Proven track record in designing and delivering enterprise MDM solutions, preferably in a manufacturing or complex supply chain environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
4+ years' experience implementing data governance frameworks, including policy, standards, and control development.
Hands-on experience with MDM and governance tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, Reltio, Collibra, Alation).
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Azure, AWS) and their integration with MDM.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Experience working in Agile or fast-paced, cross-functional environments with evolving priorities.
Deep understanding of how data management practices enable business strategy, compliance, and digital transformation.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $70,000 USD - $110,000 USD.
