
Senior Supervisor, Assembly

- Deliver regular project updates to engineering management, covering RTS/walkdown schedules, material risks, and build challenges.
- Guide and align Assembly Supervisors to ensure consistency across multi-build projects and similar product lines.
- Utilize KPIs and tools like Power BI to identify and act on areas for improvement in labor, overtime, quality, and safety.
- Oversee balanced resource allocation and technical expertise across assembly teams.
- Ensure Supervisor readiness by reviewing project data and deliverables during Assembly Kick-Off Meetings (AKOM).
- Lead hiring efforts for all assembly trades by participating in interviews and vetting candidates.
- Own and drive KPI performance such as labor utilization, overtime %, and AWARE Card participation.
- Monitor and manage assembly labor costs, including consumables, actual vs. planned hours, and overtime budgets.
- Ensure balanced staffing across projects and timely delivery vs. quoted schedules (RTS vs. QSD).
- Address and resolve NCRs and other issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Provide Manufacturing Engineering feedback on Assembly Build Sequences (ABS), planned hours, and durations.
- Communicate material delays and their effects on ABS to Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Ensure completion of scope within Assembly's responsibility and proper GPS Traveler sign-off.
- Enforce safety protocols (AWARE Cards, Take5, JSA, JRA, etc.).
- Work with Technical Specialists to ensure realistic ABS plans and layouts.
- Advise management on headcount, resource capabilities, and trade skill levels.
- Collaborate on skill assessment of labor candidates and recommend direct hires as needed.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to schedule timely trade meetings and training sessions.
- Direction for resolving project issues, unit testing approval, and clarity on deliverables and customer requirements.
- Timely updates on material delivery status.
- Support for timely material delivery and heavy lift coordination.
- Partner with Assembly Supervisors for custody transfer of materials.
- Align with Supervisors to maintain accurate schedules for projects and plant operations.
- 10 or more years' experience packaging natural gas equipment.
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent experience.
- Must be able to interpret engineering drawings such as P&IDs, General arrangements, and Electrical drawings.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
- Basic familiarities with ERP systems, such as SAP, Project Systems (PS), and Production Planning (PP)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be dependable, highly motivated, self-directed, have attention to detail, and great organizational skills with a minimum amount of daily direct supervision.
