Quality Control TechnicianPosition overviewIn this role, the Quality control technician is responsible for performing a variety of product testing and inspection activities in a highly dynamic cold forming manufacturing environment, and helping ensure our customers receive the highest level of quality and service from company.Main responsibilitiesFirst piece (setup) inspections – ensuring product compliance as soon as the first piece is produced.Product audits – verifying compliance to internal prints and specifications during the various operations throughout the manufacturing cycle.Final inspections – complete inspection of product to customer blueprints and specification, including mechanical testing, hardness, torque, and other types of tests as required.Gage calibration – help the team maintain lab equipment and gages in an adequate state of calibration.Assist production personnel with measurements, in-process inspection, and troubleshooting.Assist with corrective and preventive action related to quality issues, both issued by customers as well as internal.Help drive continuous improvement in the lab and production floor.Key competenciesThe ideal candidate must have the following competencies:Very good communication skills, both verbal and written.Team player – the position frequently requires shifting priorities to help the quality and production teams to achieve common goals.Highly organized – handling of multiple samples, gages, instruments, forms, reports need to be done with a high degree of organization.Growth mindset – Spartan is a growing company with tremendous growth potential, which must be mirrored in the mindset of every member of the organization at all levels.
