- Produce custom packaging products safely, quickly, and accurately per company standards.
- Operate a variety of equipment and machines including but not limited to: large die cutters, a variety of saws, roller presses (laminators), box makers, gluers, powered/unpowered hand tools, lathes, specialized cutting/punching/heat bonding equipment, bailers, compactors, etc.
- Hand assembly of parts and products.
- Read production paperwork to accurately follow work instructions and guidelines.
- Identify and resolve general problems concerning equipment and materials; timely communicate to supervision more complex problems.
- Perform accurate inventory counts and put away materials.
- Use provided tools and materials to help design templates or jigs to assist in increasing production efficiency.
- Understand, interpret, and follow BOMs (Bill of Materials) for production orders, and adhering to product specification documents to complete jobs
- Safely use material handling machinery (Sit-down, Stand-up, Walk-Behind forklifts, pallet jacks) to move raw materials and finished goods around a production environment.
- May assist the warehouse with shipping, receiving, picking, put-away and/or inventory as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, perform general maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Continually look for ways to improve processes and systems to make them more efficient and effective.
- Must have the ability to work and communicate as a team and closely with others or work independently as business needs demand.
- Responsible for working safely at all times and providing a safe work environment for all employees.

- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ year experience operation heavy machinery safely in a manufacturing or shop environment preferred.
- Experience operating heavy machinery safely in a manufacturing or shop environment preferred.
- General knowledge of or experience with wood shops or similar environments is a plus.
- Forklift experience or familiarity with powered machinery preferred. A comfortability and willingness to be trained on such equipment at a minimum. Ability to safely maintain a forklift certification is strongly preferred.
- A basic to intermediate level of computer skills including Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and an ability to accurately navigate ERP systems after training.
- Ability to perform reliable and accurate measurements using rulers and tape measures and perform basic arithmetic.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail, specifically as it relates to reading diagrams and product specification documents
- Previous machine operating and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Indoor general manufacturing/warehouse environment (heated only) with temperature fluctuation due to dock doors opening and closing.
- On your feet approximately 8 hours per day.
