Hours: Days between 530 & 6:00 am-2:30 pm
Start Date: ASAPLocal Food Manufacturing company is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as a Diesel Mechanic in Roseburg, OR! Must be willing to work hard, in all elements and must be comfortable with travel.As a Diesel Mechanic you will be responsible for:
- Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset and serving as an example of living our Producers Dairy purpose and core values
- Conducting activities in a safe manner, following company safety guidelines and requirements and proactively address any unsafe conditions observed
- Determine nature of needed repairs for company tractors and trailers through accurate troubleshooting
- Work with the garage manager to properly prioritize work and complete within appropriate timelines
- Adjust valves according to specifications and charge system with proper type of refrigerant by pumping the specified gas or fluid into the system
- Test lines, components, and connections for leaks
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
- Performs Federal Inspections
- A and B PM services as per DOT guidelines
- Repair and Maintain Mechanical Equipment Service, repair, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles
- Repair of electric and hydraulic lift-gates
- Computer aided troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Make safety a top priority properly manage time and prepare for jobs to work in a safe manner
- Ask for help when needed
- Other administrative tasks as assigned.
- High School or GED
- 2 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic
