- Ensure the team is fully trained and follows the safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain, including use of forklifts.
- Establish and implement methods and best practices that support inventory forecasting, procurement, and material control.
- Implement and manage an inventory control system that provides reporting capabilities, minimizes overall inventory value, and ensures accuracy of cycle counts.
- Manage overall logistical plan for the site while coordinating with the shipping supervisor.
- Implement, manage, and improve a cross-functional, fully integrated planning process that incorporates capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, raw materials, and associated cost elements.
- Analyze customer demand, sales forecasts, and historical material usage to develop and execute accurate production plans.
- Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for production planning to support customer demand.
- Address issues with the production plan by removing roadblocks for team members by coordinating with quality, engineering, and production operations to ensure on-time delivery targets.
- Develop and executes a sourcing strategy to meet the location's growth and sourcing requirements.
- Identify, develop, and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers to meet established cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Establish, implement, and manage a system to evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, material management or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience in manufacturing supply chain.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment with procurement, inventory, planning, supervision, and ERP systems background.
- Experience in Lean, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, or similar environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality system requirements.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships, positively motivate team, and influence across organizational lines.
- APICS certification preferred.
- Syteline experience is a plus.
- Related industry experience (precision components supporting oil and gas).
