Negotiate credit and financing agreements that support the company's product and growth strategy
Oversee operations and ensure regulatory compliance for both the broker-dealer and trust company, serving as CCO of the broker-dealer and CEO of the trust company
Manage relationships with custodians and respond to broker-dealer registration and regulatory inquiries
Work with external counsel to address complex legal matters and ensure alignment with business goals
Integrate legal insights into strategic decision-making across product, operations, and corporate functions
Navigate legal considerations across tax, securities, ERISA, and corporate law to maintain full regulatory compliance-ERISA experience is a strong plus given our role as a 401(k) provider, broker-dealer, and trust companyRequirements:
J.D. with experience practicing law; former attorney with a strong background in fintech, particularly within investment advisory
Deep knowledge of tax law, securities law, and corporate financing agreements
Proven ability to manage and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to apply legal expertise within an operational and strategic business context
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
ERISA experience is a significant plus, given the company's role as a 401(k) provider, broker-dealer, and trust companyCompensation: Base salary range of $180,000 to $200,000, plus equity.
