- Operate, maintain, and adjust CNC machines and equipment
- Interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications
- Achieve precise tolerances and surface finishes on parts
- Measure and inspect parts for quality compliance
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and machining issues
- Efficiently report and investigate repetitive problems, proposing solutions
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and inspections
- Make complex program or tooling adjustments for conforming parts
- Assist in process improvement and optimization initiatives
- Operate 2-axis lathe and 4th axis mill; conduct First Part Inspections
- Mentor colleagues in setups and program adjustments; Train colleagues on machine adjustments and programming
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, and Quality departments
- Update program and setup datasheet adjustments for master files
- Use of hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and inspection tools
- Follow all policies, attendance standards, and safety procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years of machinist experience in ID/OD/Jig/Surface Grinding, CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Manual Mill, and Manual Lathe
- Preferred experience in production, quality control (ISO9001, AS9100), Lean Manufacturing, and ERP systems
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, machining principles, tooling selection, cutting techniques, and material properties
- Understanding of CNC programming (G-code), machine control, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
- Proficient in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and dimensional work instructions
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Basic shop math skills and knowledge of machine setup (pallets, collets)
- Capable of diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting programming/machine issues
- Ability to stand for duration of shift and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
