Dining Room Server, Full Time/Part-Time, Evenings/Weekends

- Ensures tables are properly set including clean linens, glassware and silverware free of water spots, and availability of condiments
- Greets residents and their guests, providing assistance with canes, walkers, and wheelchairs upon entrance to dining areas
- Properly presents menus and wine lists, accurately describing entrees and Chef's specials; takes orders and promptly serves them, following proper service sequence and monitoring resident/guest needs during meals; ensures special dietary requirements are met
- Utilizes serving equipment properly, follows safety procedures with equipment, and leaves equipment in proper working order
- Reports concerns related to changes in residents' dining habits, deteriorating self-care, and/or conversations indicating unhappiness or loneliness
- Maintains clean uniforms and arrives on time for every shift clean and in accordance with health code standards; maintains infection control standards including proper hand washing
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must meet employment eligibility requirements and Health Department standards
- Food Handler's Card must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Food service experience, preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to regularly and safely lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds
- Ability to maintain courtesy and tact during stressful situations
- Ability to react appropriately in emergency situations
