Success in this role means you are able to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.Job Summary:This position primary responsibilities are providing Tier II support of maintaining large Enterprise environment. Multiple Microsoft based networks spanning multiple security enclaves within a hybrid (Windows & RHEL) environment.Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- System Administrative Advisory duties to include management of Windows and Linux workstations on EVDI and physical.
- Troubleshooting application functionality, crash, and performance
- Investigate user performance and work with external teams to improve user experience
- Assist customers with Tier 2 incident resolution for Linux and windows applications
- Provide remote end user desktop support
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system incidents with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions
- Responds to escalated service desk/team requests
- Communicate effectively (in oral and written form) with a variety of individuals, work well within small and large team environments
- Willingness to provide initial triage, response, and notifications for incidents
- Participates in special projects as required
- Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
- Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI Polygraph security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Candidate must have a current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment; either valid CompTIA Security+ CE, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)-Security
- Experience with Active Directory
- Experience with the following: DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP
- Experience Linux and Windows
- ITIL v3 or higher
- Understanding of Service Now, NETS or other ticketing process
- CompTIA Security+ CE Certification is the preferred certification.
- Understanding of Service Now, NETS or other ticketing process
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
- Application Troubleshooting such as Outlook, Excel, Word, JAVA, Internet Explorer
- PowerShell
