- We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our engineering team.
- In this role, you will leverage your power and lighting design experience and technical expertise to create comprehensive electrical designs for a variety of projects.
- You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that designs meet both functional and compliance standards.
- Develop and produce drawings for buildings lighting, power and electrical distribution systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
- Perform lighting and power engineering calculations.
- Design electrical systems in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Support the procurement process by evaluating and specifying appropriate materials and equipment for new electrical infrastructure and reviewing vendor proposals.
- Adhere to project schedules, budgets and scope of work.
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
- Expertise in electrical distribution systems, power design, and lighting design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the engineering field.
- Vocational Certificate or Associates degree in Engineering Design or Drafting.
- 3+ years of electrical design experience in the architectural / built environment.
- Proficiency in Revit and MS Office.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IBC, IECC).
- Capable of performing calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards licensure.
- Proficiency in electrical analysis software (e.g., SKM PowerTools).
- Competency in AutoCAD
