Java Backend Developer
Location: Plano, TXDuration: 8 Months ContractJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled developer with strong expertise in Java and cloud services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend services and APIs, while leveraging cloud-native solutions.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.
  • Design and implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Work with cloud services to build cloud-native applications.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, DevOps, and QA.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug applications in production.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong proficiency in Java with hands-on experience (20%).
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and RESTful APIs (15%).
  • Experience with cloud services (15%).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and serverless applications (10%).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes) is a plus (10%).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, etc.) (10%).
  • Strong understanding of security best practices (authentication, authorization, data protection) (10%).
  • Proficient in version control systems (Git) (10%).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills (10%).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development practices.
