Napoleon, OhioAs a full time, exempt Director of Pharmacy and Materials Management with CPS Solutions, LLC at Henry County Hospital. Pharmacy duties include pharmacy organization of workflow, formulary management, operating the pharmacy according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. In addition, you will be staffing and overseeing all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing and controlling activities. You will fill orders with accuracy; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy. You will also oversee a staff of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. Materials Management duties include overseeing and managing all aspects of the Materials Department in a hospital setting. Duties include developing and implementing policies and procedures for procurement, inventory control, receiving, storage, and distribution, while coordinating all Central Services activities except sterilization, providing administrative support to the VP of Finance and Development through reports, budgets, supply utilization analysis, and capital expenditure oversight, and serve as the primary contact for purchase agreements and vendor negotiations, maintaining strong interdepartmental relationships by collaborating with hospital staff to assess material needs, reviewing and approving purchase orders, and soliciting proposals for supplies and equipment, excluding pharmaceuticals and dietary products.Schedule: This full time position will work at least 40 hours per week typically Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, or as needed.Salary Range: $160,000 to $180,000 annual salary (based related on experience).About the Facility: Henry County Hospital is a 25 bed, not for profit, critical access, DNV accredited hospital. Services include Cancer/Oncology, Emergency, ICU, Sleep Center, Cardiac Rehab, Respiratory, and Women's Health services throughout Napoleon and surrounding areas. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.Required Qualifications for this dual role:
  • BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of Ohio in good standing
  • 2+ years recent pharmacy management (in a hospital setting preferred)
  • Knowledge and understanding of 340B
  • Experience with Pyxis is a plus
  • Recent experience in purchasing, inventory and contract management in a healthcare setting (preferably a hospital)
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing staff and building teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven knowledge of inventory, and purchasing practices associated with the healthcare industry, specifically hospital materials management
  • Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility
  • Ability to deal effectively with change
Hospital Requirements:
  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series or titer
  • TDAP/TD if no vaccine in 10 years
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
  • COVID Vaccine
  • BCI/FBI background check (required)
