Job Summary:General Laborer position requirements include, but are not limited to, general plant labor and clean-up of production areas; observe, monitor and report any conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularity; being trained in various entry-level production positions and fills in as needed during vacation, absences, and increased production demands. Operate small equipment; replace or assist other workers as needed or directed; and other duties as assigned by management.Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Safely and efficiently perform various housekeeping and manual labor tasks throughout entire plant
  • As directed by supervisor, fills in when needed in all areas of plant operation
  • Safely operates mobile equipment when necessary
  • Participates in any training that may be required to improve job performance or operating efficiency
  • Write work orders for necessary maintenance and safety concerns
  • Communicate to supervisor problems or areas of concern and coordinate work efforts with co-workers
  • Assist in performance of minor maintenance tasks as directed by supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Willing and able to work overtime and rotating shifts
  • Must possess basic ability to read and write
  • Should be capable of operation of mobile equipment
  • Should have experience working around moving machinery
  • Must be able to walk over rough terrain, stoop, reach, climb, kneel, and carry up to 60 pounds
  • Position includes work, both indoors and outdoors, involving temperature extremes, dust, noise and humidity
Responsibilities:
  • Perform housekeeping and general labor tasks throughout the plant
  • Operate mobile equipment safely when required
  • Write work orders detailing maintenance and safety requirements
  • Communicate issues and areas of concern to the supervisor
  • Assist with training initiatives to improve performance and efficiency
  • Fill in where needed across the plant operations
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of general labor experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work varied shifts
