Description :Interprets and processes physician medication orders and compounds and dispenses medication within regulatory guidelines. Monitors drug therapy for appropriateness of drug, dose, route, and duration. Screens for drug interactions, incompatibilities, and contraindications and consults with medical staff as indicated. Identifies actual or potential drug related problems and intervenes appropriately.Provides clinical pharmacy services, including pharmacokinetics, renal drug dosing, mngt of parenteral nutrition, and monitoring of anticoagulant therapy. Provides drug information to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and patients. Supervises and directs the activities of pharmacy tech. Participates in formulary mngt, quality improvement, and medication use evaluation activities.Education:Required: B.S. degree in PharmacyPreferred: Completion of ASHP accredited residency programExperience:Preferred: Two years hospital pharmacy experience.Licenses/Certificates:Required: Current Registered Pharmacist license, New Mexico Board of Pharmacy.Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) - Due by close of business on the last day of the month after one (1) full month of work.At Mountain View we pride ourselves on fostering an environment that is warm and welcoming where everyone feels heard, supported and valued.
