- Continuing Education: Study for and pass an exam or designation related to your job function during the program (i.e. a course offered through The Institutes).
- Group Project: Collaborate with fellow Associates on a project related to emerging technologies, internal initiatives, or process improvement.
- Home Office Visits: Participate in home office visits to New York City for hands-on training, management discussions, and team-building social events.
- Cross-Departmental Learning: Hear from professionals in key insurance areas like claims, credit, actuarial science, underwriting, and reinsurance to get holistic understanding of Starr’s operations.
- Build confidence and foundational expertise through hands-on experience in your department.
- Develop professionally through training, formal and informal mentorship, and exposure to leadership.

- Recent graduate or early-career professional with little to no industry experience.
- Relevant internship or work experience during college years preferred.

- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Risk Management/Insurance and Business majors preferred; some positions may require different areas of study.
