Radiation/Oncology office- position is on-site in Turlock CA (NOT REMOTE)
Candidate must be a Certified Coder and Radiology/Oncology experience is highly preferredThe Coder works independently on a daily basis responsible for coding OP Ancillary, Clinic, and ED outpatient accounts with a high degree of accuracy.Responsibilities: * Review medical records to code patient charges
- Review physician documentation and perform audits to determine accuracy
- Updates late charges and processes in a timely manner
- Review tasks and corrects codes as needed
- Prepare reports as requested by operations team
- Provide training for physicians and staff to improve coding outcomes.
Preferred: Associates DegreeExperience:Required: At least 6 months of billing and coding experienceCertifications:Required: Must be certified for outpatient coding.
Certifications may include one of the following: AHIMA (excludes CCA) OR Certified Professional Coder (CPC)/ Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) OR Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) etc.
