Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Warm Valley Health CareWarm Valley Health Care is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our organization while supporting our mission of delivering exceptional care to the community.About the RoleThe Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting reporting processes that drive sound decision-making. This position requires both technical expertise and problem-solving skills to manage daily accounting functions, reconciliations, and month-end processes.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.Record and post transactions to the general ledger.Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.Support financial reviews for mergers and acquisitions.Ensure confidentiality of financial data and perform database backups as needed.QualificationsWe're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong foundation in accounting principles.
