- Analyze material consumption/usage to meet Emerson Ex.245C guidelines. Will work with buyers and suppliers to implement/support guidelines
- Support forecasted sales while maintaining customer service and inventory investment goals.
- Issue written and oral instructions to manage, direct and instruct team of buyers and planners. Assign duties and examine work for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Supports fill rate, inventory reduction and backlog reduction goals
- Oversee stockroom and shipping (logistics) activities and schedules, organizing and releasing of materials flow through the plant and between facilities as needed
- Assist with physical inventory coordination/activities
- Assist with physical inventory coordination/activities
- Assist with implementation of cycle counting program and oversee it once implemented
- Manage the MIN/MAX program to maintain achieve inventory goals (EX245) and maintain appropriate level of inventory to support production requirements
- Assist finance with annual standard cost roll
- Drive planning process improvements for speed of execution and elimination of non-value added functions (office lean)
- Work with planners and buyers to develop a resizing program for kanbans (internal and supplier)
- Assist with ISO procedure creation. Once ISO certified, maintains in depth knowledge of when and where to reference Quality ISO procedures and execute the requirements as applicable to the position
- Train and/or oversee the training of new and existing employees with materials related issues
- Manage key suppliers
- Publish supplier on-time performance to suppliers monthly
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain or business
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, bills of materials, production planning and cost savings coordination
- Experience with shop floor materials and operating systems (ERP system)
- Previous supervisory experience as a shift supervisor or lead person
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and previous experience using an MRP system
- APICS certified
- Proficiency in Oracle software
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques
- Electrical industry experience, knowledge of products, certifications etc
