Job DescriptionAs a key player in the Area Leisure Sales Team, you will have an active role in attracting individual travelers, couples and families looking for experiential travel. You will be assisting in the development of packages and promotions that appeal to the leisure market, often working with travel agents, tour operators and online travel platforms.As the Area Leisure Sales Manager, Hawaii you will oversee the Leisure Sales revenue production for all individually assigned and shared travel market segments/accounts (ex; wholesale leisure, travel agencies, consortia, local and national corporate, discount packages) for Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui and Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii Island.Salary Range: $86,000 - $91,000What you will be doing:
  • Exceeds sales goals as well as segment goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis for Fairmont Kea Lani and Fairmont Orchid
  • Identify and solicit prospective customers and new business through via personalized action plan preparation
  • Keep accurate records of potential customers and follow through on all potential business.
  • Negotiate consortia and wholesale leisure promotions within established parameters.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with key customers, industry leaders and Global Sales Offices.
  • Make local / regionals sales calls and attend industry events and tradeshows representing each property.
  • Coordinate and/or participate in sites and FAMs as scheduled or required for each property.
  • Plan & Schedule effective business trips and appointments within assigned markets.
  • Maintains account, contact, activity and business details within Opera S&C according to Fairmont standards
  • Prepare sales activity plans and production reports as required by the Directors of Sales & Marketing (Fairmont Kea Lani & Fairmont Orchid).
  • Build, plan and execute marketing and promotion plan for assigned accounts at each property.
  • Provide all necessary contractual information for reservations & revenue management team to properly load rates for all key accounts.
  • Actively participate in RevMax meetings with each property.
  • Collect market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement rate strategies to achieve short and long term goals.
  • Manage marketing opportunities available with assigned accounts/segments, and work with each property’s marketing department to ensure timely fulfillment within budgeted expense guideline.
  • Support any and all leisure sales team efforts to include training, development and collaborating with team on overall strategy, account management and goals.
  • Be a resource to Operations teams to both relay guest information as well as be the contact for travel advisors.
QualificationsYour experience and skills include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Business Management preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience, preferably in a luxury resort
  • Must be a clear communicator, able to confidentially interact with VIPs and Senior Executives
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in MS office and be able to fully utilize Opera (PMS) is highly preferred
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of effective communication across various organizational levels.
  • Service-oriented mindset for effective communication with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in utilizing various analytical tools for data-driven decision-making.
  • Highly developed computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational abilities, capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and seek clarification when needed for efficient assignment completion.
  • Proficient in PMS system, with a preference for Opera.
  • Dynamic, can-do attitude with proven interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Maintains a professional working environment and fosters a positive, supportive, team-based approach to achieve short and long-term organizational goals.
  • Must be available to travel and work flexible hours and days
