Summary:The Process Engineer III performs a variety of activities in support of manufacturing operations from an engineering perspective. This role keeps current with the state of applicable technology for processes, materials, equipment, vendor capabilities, and other items of relevance. Process Engineer III will perform and/or direct failure analyses as needed and presents findings to internal and external customers. Position is pending contract win. Responsibilities:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • In a self-directed manner, resolve complex daily processing challenges in the production area with data from various sources
  • Work independently and as a member of a team to propose and develop ideas, concepts, documentation from concept to sustaining activities; analyzes results; documents and evaluates processes for cost effective manufacturing while maintaining the quality and reliability of the product
  • Initiate the development, maintenance, improvement, and optimization of robust, repeatable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes while maintaining the quality and reliability of the product.
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines to analyze data, perform procedural and drawing updates using the change order processes
  • Use critical thinking and solid engineering methods, responsible for providing data driven solutions to complex problems while providing leadership and guidance to less experienced engineers and technicians via excellent data organization, time management, project planning, report writing, and presentations to internal and External customers
  • Perform and/or direct forensic and failure analyses for complex processes and/or product as needed and presents findings to internal and external customers. Performs detailed Design of Experiments (DOE) and analyze results using statistical methodology and demonstrating excellent writing skills in reports
  • Assess and recommend equipment upgrades and/or new equipment purchases including Return on Investment (ROI), risk, and equipment qualification
  • Conduct research and investigation into related topics to increase knowledge and capability; keep current with the state of relevant technology; propose ideas for new or improved processes incorporating state-of-the-art methods, tools and materials, including relevant software tools
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's degree) or Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor's degree) or Industrial Engineering (Bachelor's degree)
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline.
  • OR (9) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
  • OR (3) years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree.
  • Preferred - A strong mechanical background and aptitude
  • Preferred - Proficient in PWB (Printed Wiring Board) gerber viewing software, CAD (Computer Aided Design) software, and data analysis software.
  • Preferred - Visual Manufacturing (ERP) and Business Planning System (BPS) for work order time accounting
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
  • Pay Range: $83,800 - $104,757 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
