- Defines and documents required inspection and measurement activities, including new product inspection, receiving inspection, and calibration.
- Coordinates control of nonconforming material, including identification, containment, evaluation, and disposition.
- Monitors supplier performance and evaluates quality of incoming materials. Coordinates with Leviton supply chain and external suppliers to improve supplier performance.
- Facilitates the evaluation of customer quality concerns.
- Supports new product introductions (PDI) and ensures integration of quality requirements from concept to production.
- Coordinates with other engineers and departments to establish process controls, reduce variation, and improve yield.
- Coordinates with other engineers and departments to evaluate problems, identify root causes, and implement process improvements.
- Assists in activities required to maintain third party quality certifications (ISO 9001 and 14001) such as internal audits. Qualifications:
- Technical Knowledge - Applying scientific, engineering, and quality principles to solve problems.
- Data Analysis - Converting raw data into useful information for decision-making and process improvement.
- Technical Communications - Presenting technical information clearly to different audiences, ensuring understanding across stakeholders.
- Problem Solving - Integrating technical skills to diagnose issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions effectively.
- Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, along with internal and external customers and key stakeholders
- Teamwork – Ability to work well in a team environment, fostering collaboration and cooperation
- Adaptability – Flexibility to adapt to new tasks, technologies, processes, and changing project requirements
- Work Ethic – Demonstrating reliability, responsibility, and a strong commitment to organizational goals
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or technical field from an accredited college or university required.
- Experience or internship in a manufacturing environment, preferred
