- Developing protocols for all SH&E programs and systems performed to ensure a safe and clean work environment
- Implementing safety training programs and systems for all employees and contractors
- Assist in the identification and controlling of hazards that could harm any party working at or visiting the location
- Investigating and tracking accidents and establishing methods to correct and eliminate unsafe practices and conditions; partner with managers to monitor and ensure follow-up on safety, health and environmental action plans and communications with supervisory employees
- Auditing safety, health, and environmental activities, reporting and tracking results and follow-up on actions designed to correct and/or improve conditions and comply with regulations
- Implementing systems to accurately maintain safety, health, and environmental records to ensure data is available for reference, analysis, and reporting
- Directing all environmental permitting activities including NPDES program permits (surface, groundwater, and storm water). Prepare and file all necessary environmental reports for facilities including SARA Title III Tier Two reports, NPDES DMR’s and other state-required reports
- Professional Safety Certification (CSP) and/or CHMM and a SC Physical/Chemical Wastewater license
- Proven knowledge of the Tennessee workers’ compensation insurance system
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification and emergency response experience

- Bachelor's Degree in safety, environmental, or engineering with minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience with clear path demonstrating opportunities for increasingly higher S&E leadership positions
- Demonstrated safety leadership position, managing a safety and environmental program for medium to heavy industry
- Proven working knowledge of applicable regulations including:
- OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and 29 CFR 1910
- 40 CFR Protection of Environment (EPA)
- ANSI, Electrical and NFPA Standards
- Accident Investigation Procedures
- Experience in managing/supervising and/or providing support for an industrial paint operation and waste water treatment.
