Job Title: Staffing Specialist
Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, some overtime required, 1-hour lunch
Days: Monday thru Friday, may include late evenings and occasional weekends
Summary: The Staffing Specialist performs full cycle recruiting for multiple clients. Full cycle recruiting entails receiving the job order and job description from the client, posting the job or mining multiple databases for passive candidates. The majority of the day is spent interviewing, screening candidates and successfully matching them to the right client. It is imperative that the applicant and client are a fit for one another to build strong relationships with both and increase revenue opportunities. This position is great for someone interested in learning more about the Human Resources industry.
Ultimately, you will ensure our company recruits and retains qualified employees while nurturing a healthy and productive work environment.
Follows defined recruiting practices/ethics, documents ALL customer and applicant interactions in TempWorks
Utilizes customer job order combined with job description to identify candidates, evaluating personal qualifications against job requirements. Conduct daily full screen face to face interviews with applicants
Assists in generating new job orders through skill marketing and marketing calls.
Communicates with hiring managers and decision makers at client sites
Screens and identifies qualified applicants for our customers; ranging from professional to industrial to office, to fill Temporary and Try & Hire positions
Schedules and conducts Drug Screens & New Hire Orientations (DS&O)
Maintains current client relations to generate business, as needed
Participates in job fairs and networking events in the community, as needed
Conducts reference checks on candidates, as needed
Prepares & posts job advertisements to approved third party job boards
Assists in cleaning up data in TempWorks to reflect correct customer and employee information. Removes old customer contacts and updating new and existing contacts
Ensures all jobs have a Job Description provided or approved by Client
Utilizes available means, including free webinars and training sessions provided via approved vendors, to stay abreast of best staffing practices
Contacts current and past field employees to ask for referrals
Performs other recruiting and clerical duties, as requested
Performs other duties, as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience:
Professional friendly phone skills, exceptional communication and creative writing skills, required
College Degree, preferred
Social Media experience, preferred
Proficient in Keyboarding, Word, Excel and Outlook skills, required
Microsoft Office Specialist, preferred
Pro-active and results-oriented with a deep sense of ownership
Ability to understand and adapt to rapidly changing priorities and prioritize accordingly.
Ability to learn and allocate time efficiently; handle multiple deliverables while concurrently managing competing priorities
Strong analytical problem-solving and research skills
Ability to work with enthusiasm in a challenging, fast-paced environment

Certifications & Other Requirements
Must have a CSP®(Certified Staffing Professional) certification through the American Staffing Association or be willing to obtain the certification within the first 9 months of employment.
