The Sr. Engineering Technician will be accountable for the activities of the department requiring the application of skills to operate custom test equipment and other systems in support of R&D and NPD activities. Meanwhile, you'll have the support and resources of the fastest-growing brand in the construction industry to make it happen.The TOOLS you’ll need to have:Conduct diverse and complex mechanical tests using a variety of electrical and mechanical test equipment and techniquesLead the execution of assigned tests per work instructions and request proceduresPrepare reports utilizing a PC with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, databases, spreadsheets, and statistical / graphical softwarePerform hands-on testing using power tools and accessoriesPerform preventative equipment maintenance and repairs of test equipmentKnowledgeable of machine component applications and assemblyParticipate in the improvement and development of testing and automated machineryPropose recommendations to the engineering team based off the data collectedAgility to work on multiple tasks while maintaining efficiency and organizationExercise responsibility for thoroughness, timeliness and accuracy of work performedTraining, overseeing, auditing, and monitoring temporary workersContribute to organizational goals and objectivesMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsFollow 5S principles and maintain a clean and organized working environmentPerforms other duties as assignedWhat TOOLS you’ll bring with you:Requires an education equivalent to a technical associate degree and three to five years’ experience using test equipment for product life and performance testingFundamentals of electronics, AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, pneumatics, and controllersExperience with robotics programming is a plus, preferably with Fanuc controlsKnowledge of test concepts in design and development of products and componentsPC hardware and software knowledge with the ability to program in LabVIEW, Visual Basic, PLCProficient in Microsoft OfficeOur Perks and Benefits:Robust health, dental and vision insurance plansGenerous 401 (K) savings planEducation assistanceOn-site wellness, fitness center, food, and coffee serviceAnd many more, check out our benefits siteMilwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity employer.
