Glastender, Inc., a family-owned manufacturer of high-quality bar and restaurant equipment, is seeking a skilled Machinist/Production Operator to join our team on first shift. For over 50 years, we've built our reputation on craftsmanship, innovation, and a commitment to excellence-values we're proud to see reflected in our employees every day.What You'll DoAs a Machinist/Production Operator, you'll have a hands-on role in creating precision components that keep our products world-class. Your time will be split between two areas:Production Machining (75%)Perform routine set-ups and operate production machinery in the sheet metal departmentConduct quality checks and follow established work instructions to ensure top-level resultsPrecision Machining (25%)Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and toolingPerform tool grinding, production part machining, and occasional maintenance repair part machiningWhat We're Looking ForWe're seeking someone who takes pride in their craft and has the skills to back it up. Key requirements include:Proficiency in setting up, operating, and adjusting manual machinesBasic programming skills for CNC machinesStrong knowledge of tooling speed, feed, depth of cut, and other machining fundamentalsCommitment to producing high-quality, precise workPrecision Skills – Comfortable reading a tape measure down to 1/32" for accuracy that counts.Strong Math Ability – Skilled at adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, decimals, and fractions, plus able to handle basic geometry and trigonometry calculations when needed.Blueprint & Document Mastery – Can easily interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, work instructions, operating instructions, and detailed blueprints.Production Know-How – Familiar with production processes, quality control standards, and cost-conscious techniques to maximize efficiency and output.Technical Reading Skills – Able to read and understand blueprints, sketches, drawings, and engineering details to determine dimensions, tolerances, and product specifications.Why Join Glastender?At Glastender, you're not just another employee-you're part of a team that values skill, dedication, and innovation.
