- Assist, under direction, in the management of design, authority approvals, engineering, construction, contractors, project controls, budget, QA & QC, procedures and project logistics.
- Assist the Project Manager in the creation and ongoing management of schedules, programs, contracts, design documentation, specifications etc.
- Use rational process decision making tools to determine vendor selection, design, and other key decisions and problem solving throughout the project.
- Maintain a strong focus on effective communication and problem solving.
- Ability to work autonomously and with very minimal supervision as required and maintain effective time management skill.
- There may be a requirement to travel interstate, infrequently, 10% or less.
- Bachelor or similar in relevant engineering discipline, project management, construction management or similar is highly desirable, but not essential.
- Minimum 2 years industry experience in either project engineering, management, coordination, controls or project management assistant on relevant projects in excess of $3MM value in the oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial gases or construction industries is highly desirable but not essential.
- Ability to read and understand engineered design, P&ID's, construction design, project specifications.
- Competence with AutoCAD 2D is highly desirable.
- Ability to effectively use MS Project or similar is required.
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
