The University of South Dakota (USD) invites applications for a dynamic and student-centered Assistant Professor of Practice in Audiology. This full-time, 12-month position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally recognized Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program within a collaborative and supportive academic environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee clinical education and placements for AuD students.
- Provide didactic instruction in areas aligned with expertise.
- Supervise clinical practicum and mentor students in evidence-based practice.
- Engage in service to the department, college, university, and professional community.
- Participate in student recruitment and program development initiatives.
- AuD or PhD in Audiology or a closely related field (ABD considered).
- ASHA CCC-A and/or ABA Certification (or eligibility).
- South Dakota Audiology license (or eligibility).
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience.
- Preferred experience in audiologic evaluations, hearing aids, and cochlear implants.
- Passion for clinical education and student mentorship.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive excellence and collaborative teaching.
- Interest in innovative teaching methods and interprofessional education.
- Work with a dedicated team of faculty and clinicians in a well-established program.
