- Define system and circuit level requirements
- Design circuits, perform analysis/simulations, and create schematics/BOMs
- Identify all necessary components and equipment to support the product design process
- Perform PCB stack-up design, layout and routing, and generation of the full manufacturing file package to build circuit board prototypes.
- Interface with Mechanical Engineering to ensure all packaging and thermal constraints are met
- Establish hardware and software test environments and infrastructure
- Develop the concept prototypes and conduct DVT to verify system performance
- Provide technical leadership for projects developed by sub-contractors
- Ensure tasks are delivered on time and within the performance, cost and reliability targets
- Provide technical support to manufacturing
- At least 5 years’ experience with digital and analog circuit design
- Familiar with methods of the design of high-speed hardware
- Knowledge of design for signal integrity
- Knowledge of internal and external data buses such as SPI, I2C, LAN, USB, PCIe, etc.
- Familiar with worst-case and statistical error analysis
- Power management design
- Applicant must have a security clearance or able to obtain a security clearance
- Exposure to Embedded Firmware Development in Assembly, C and/or C++
- Experience in electromagnetic capability (EMC) testing and design
- Familiar with switching mode power supply design
- Knowledge of military qualification testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent task management skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
