Home-Based Early Childhood Education ProgramDuties:
- Work with families with young children (1 ½ -3 ½). Be responsible for implementing an Early Childhood curriculum that helps families prepare their children for school.
- Provide regular Home Visits to each assigned family using appropriate educational materials and resources.
- Organize and carry out group activities with the assigned families.
- Participate in in-service training and weekly staff meetings.
- Carry out assessments, evaluations, school contacts, weekly record-keeping, and duties as may be determined by the Programs.
- Have an interest, experience, and/or education in working with young children and their families.
- Relate well to young children, parents, and professionals from diverse backgrounds.
- Have the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Be willing to learn and use the Program materials and methods.
- Be flexible, dependable, have access to a telephone, and ability to get around the city.
- A high school diploma is required.
